Who is IDOS for, and who is it not for?
IDOS is operations and procurement software for United States-based, product-heavy residential interior design firms, typically two to five people, with meaningful resale revenue and multiple active projects. It is not for commercial design, pure e-design, or firms that never resell product.
Can a solo designer use IDOS?
Yes — solo is supported on every plan. Solo is not the default fit, and a solo designer who resells product still needs Professional for sourcing and product billing; Foundation is communication and inquiry only.
What is the difference between Professional and Studio?
Professional is the complete product-money loop: inquiry, onboarding, communication, and procurement including product invoicing, payments, credits, accounting CSV, and margin reconciliation. Studio adds team time capture and service billing plus the website portfolio gallery.
Does IDOS replace my accounting software?
No. IDOS is not a ledger. It downloads a Xero, QuickBooks Online, or generic invoice CSV for manual import; there is no live accounting sync.
How do clients pay invoices?
When client payments are enabled for the studio, a sent invoice carries a Stripe pay link. When they are not enabled, the invoice is still sent and can be reconciled with a manual payment record. IDOS subscription checkout is a separate Stripe flow.
Can I export my data?
Yes. IDOS exports structured JSON for the core record types and per-table CSV for clients, vendors, projects, invoices, and time entries. It is not a complete export of every artifact, and it is not a live accounting sync.
Is everything white-labeled?
Every plan shows only the firm's brand on client-facing surfaces; there is no IDOS logo on anything a client sees. Custom domains are not available yet.
Is there a free trial?
No. Setup is free, a 30-day money-back guarantee is the risk reversal, and the Studio Audit is the pre-purchase diagnostic. There is no time-limited trial.
How long does setup take?
You sign up, build a free studio profile, optionally import clients, vendors, and projects from CSV, then choose a plan to reach the dashboard. There is no card and no dashboard access before plan selection.
Is there a mobile app?
There is no native mobile app. The web application is responsive and works in a mobile browser.
How is my data secured?
IDOS isolates every firm at the application layer by firm ID, enforces owner, admin, team, and viewer roles, rate-limits abuse with HMAC-backed tokens, hashes passwords with bcrypt, sits behind Cloudflare, and stores private files in firm-prefixed object storage with owner checks and short signed links.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. You can export your data and request deletion. The data-deletion page describes the process.
Is IDOS proven — case studies, certifications, an SLA?
IDOS is early-stage. Independent case studies, SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certification, two-factor authentication, a public DPA, a contracted data-residency region, and an uptime SLA are not currently available or published. Third-party statistics on the site are attributed to their sources, not claimed as IDOS outcomes.
What is the current proof?
The shipped product: the traceable source-to-bill workflow, product invoicing on Professional, the website portfolio gallery on Studio, and the explicit limits listed here. No recovered-margin figures, ratings, or testimonials are claimed.
