Getting started and imports

Getting started with IDOS follows a fixed sequence: sign up, build a free studio profile, optionally import existing client and vendor data from CSV, then choose a plan. No credit card is required for the setup steps, and the dashboard is not accessible until a plan is selected. This is an onboard-then-paywall flow, not a trial.

Signup and free profile

Any user can sign up with an email address and create a free studio profile. The profile collects the firm name, business address, and branding preferences. This step unlocks the import tool but does not provide dashboard access. The profile can be updated later from account settings.

Optional CSV import

Before selecting a plan, the firm can import existing data from CSV files. The accepted entities are clients, vendors, and projects. The import follows these rules:

• Clients must be imported before their associated projects (client-before-project dependency).
• A resumed import does not double-import — if a record was already imported and its key matches, it is skipped.
• Columns beyond the recognized set are ignored; missing required columns produce a validation error.
• The entire import can be skipped — the firm can enter clients, vendors, and projects manually from the dashboard after subscribing.

Plan selection and dashboard access

After the profile and any desired import are complete, the firm selects a plan. Plans are monthly or annual at flat per-studio rates, as described on the pricing page. Subscription and payment happen through a Stripe checkout. Dashboard access is granted immediately after the first successful payment. Until then, the dashboard remains locked.

Free setup is not product usage

The free profile and import steps exist so a firm can prepare its workspace without a time constraint. They do not grant access to any operational feature — communication, sourcing, procurement, invoicing, time tracking, or portfolio.
