Foundation · $97 a month

Two modules, chosen on purpose.

Foundation is not a starter pack with the good parts held back. It runs the two workflows that interrupt a studio most, complete: inbound inquiries and client status updates. If your firm handles sourcing, purchase orders, or product billing, Foundation is not the right plan—regardless of headcount. Here is the reasoning.

Why this tier exists

Every studio, however it bills, runs on the same two interruptions. An inquiry arrives and wants an answer while interest is warm. A client wonders what is happening and writes to ask. Neither respects whatever you were doing when it landed.

So Foundation is scoped to exactly those two workflows and nothing else. Not a thin slice of all six modules; the complete version of the two that fire daily. The inquiry pipeline answers, scores, and follows up on every lead the moment it lands. Project communication sends the milestone update before the client thinks to ask.

One seat, because both of these are one person’s workflows: the inbox and the client thread belong to whoever runs the studio. Seats start to matter when work is genuinely shared, and that is Professional’s reasoning, not Foundation’s.

Why these modules

01 Inquiry Pipeline

Lead capture forms, automatic scoring and qualification, automated response sequences, a proposal builder with tracking.

Inbound is the revenue front door, and its cost is timing: an inquiry answered in minutes is qualified before it costs you attention; one answered after a day on site has often gone cold or gone elsewhere. Handled by hand, response speed varies with how busy you are, which makes it worst exactly when business is best. Automation makes the speed constant.

03 Project Communication

Milestone-triggered client emails, pre-written templates per design phase, a read-only client portal.

The status question is a recurring client email, and each one is a failure of timing: the client asked before you told them. Proactive milestone updates invert that order and keep the current status available in the client portal.

Why it stops here

Foundation deliberately excludes onboarding, procurement, time and billing, and the portfolio pipeline. Not to hold features hostage: because each of those only pays when it runs complete, and a partial version is worse than the spreadsheet it replaces. Procurement that tracks orders but not the markup and the final bill does not close the leak; it moves it somewhere new. The line is drawn at communication, and everything on this side of the line, Foundation runs in full.

The math

$1,164

what a year of Foundation costs

12 hrs

of billable time a year pays for it, at a $100 hourly rate

1 hr

of billable time a month covers it, at a $100 hourly rate

Foundation is $97 per studio each month. Compare that fixed subscription cost with your own workflow before deciding.
